The Enfield Girl

140 characters screaming in your head
If they don’t find release
You’re all going to end up in a bitter place
Or so it has been said
By the fools who know nothing of this world
They can’t comprehend what it’s like
To have your soul unheld
But lay claim to don’ts and dos for The Enfield Girl

They’re taking down the bunting yet your dreams remain unfurled
Make claim they’re a lot darker now
As you loose phlegm and bile at the worm’s eye view of the man in the street
Because the fools who know nothing of this world
They can’t comprehend of the hike
That’s your journey through life
Or to walk a mile in the boots of The Enfield Girl

Stick around if you choose
Not to lose your mind and become one of them
There’s all the time
To hate all the people and hate all the things
Watch them downed by rosied-rings
Like scabrous scales, they fall from they eyes of The Enfield Girl

140 characters screaming in your head
If they don’t find release
You’re all going to end up in a bitter place
Or so it has been said
By the fools who know nothing of this world
They can’t comprehend what it’s like
To have your soul unheld
But lay claim to don’ts and dos for The Enfield Girl

As she watches from the ledge – The Enfield Girl
The Enfield Girl in the corner at the end of the world
Behold – give thanks and praise to The Enfield Girl
